- 自从10岁我就对音乐有特别的兴趣。我吹过1年长笛，之后我学习一年的爵士/流行歌唱。我15岁的时候有人给我一张Nightwish(夜愿)的CD，我喜欢极了，当时就很想去学习经典歌唱的课程。2002年我在一个唱诗班呆了几个月，随后至今就是在EPICA里。

- 我15岁就开始弹吉他了。1995年我组建了After Forever乐队。在2002年我出来与AD一起做过音乐（这在音乐界叫做Side Project），之后不久EPICA已经成立了。目前我正在为一个荷兰的电影创作电影，我也希望我能参与其他的电影音乐的项目。

- 我7岁的时候就开始在我当地的音乐学校学习音乐，并在1999年因为我出色的古典吉他和音乐理论作成为一名桂冠（laureate）毕业生。同时，在我16岁的时候我开始玩起了电吉他并迅速发现这乐器能自由的创造创造出无限的魔力。这个认识让我在荷兰鹿特丹的音乐学院（College of Music in Rotterdam, the Netherlands）继续学习音乐。事实证明这是一个绝佳的地方，我能发展我的技术，还能认识到相同兴趣的人。自从我拿起电吉他那一刻起，我在很多的乐队里呆过。他们还能让我回想起在“The Lair of The White Worm”和“The Toxic Touch”时代的“God Dethroned（废黜上帝乐队）”

- 我8岁的时候就开始参加经典钢琴课程。当我在16岁时通过了钢琴最后一个考试后，我在音乐学院里试听。因为我还在上中学，我不能在音乐学院里全日制的上课。于是我在音乐学院里接受了两年的“学前教育”，当过了两年我中学毕业我终于在音乐学院的经典钢琴系正式的全日制上课。两年后我决定转到鹿特丹的流行系并在那里于2007年毕业。
那些年我在好几个乐队里呆过，我不但做过键盘手，也做过鼓手、吉他手和贝司手。我还曾和After Forever一起登台演出过一次，当时Jack离队了我去替代他。 - 最喜爱的乐队：

- 我从1996年开始就玩贝司，从1989年开始弹钢琴，从1995年开始弹吉他。在1997年我进入Axamenta乐队（一只比利时Fantacy Metal乐队）担当吉他手和键盘手。在我在乐队的那段时间我们发行了一张MCD”Nox Draconis Argenti”和一张标准专辑“Codex Barathri”。我的很多乐队，录音室，和舞台经验都来自这个乐队。由于我把我把所有时间献给了EPICA所以我不得不在2003年中期离开Axamenta。我也在Gurthang(黑金属风格)乐队做过一段时间键盘手。有一段时间我创作过像电影配乐一样的键盘歌曲。在2002年我成为EPICA的贝司手。

- 我在7岁的时候就开始打鼓，然后在当地的一所音乐学校学习了12年。我在一个行进乐队里呆过6年，在我的中学期间我也和我的朋友们在一些金属乐队里一起玩音乐。我在鹿特丹的音乐学院取得音乐学士学位。至今我已经在“God Dethtoned（上帝废黜）”乐队里呆了6年了，和他们发行过三张专辑还进行过一些巡演。我也为Delain乐队做过短期的鼓手，和他们一起录制了他们的处女专辑《Lucidity》。此外我还参加了After Forever的吉他手Sander Gommans的一个叫做HDK的计划。我也不是的教授打鼓。
